For Jhet Andrei Dizon, technology has always felt like home. As a child, he was captivated by building things\u2014from Legos to Gundam models. That curiosity evolved into building computers and, eventually, coding software. \u201cI was always drawn to how technology works, it started with toys, but it became a real passion.\u201d<\/em> <\/div>\n \n
Yet despite his natural interest, Jhet faced a series of internal and external barriers that made pursuing a traditional Bachelor’s Degree seem almost out of reach.<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe Burden of Traditional Education <\/strong>\n
As the eldest sibling in a financially constrained household, the idea of enrolling in a four-year university program felt more like a burden than a blessing. <\/div>\n \n
\u201cOne of my main concerns was the significant time and dedication needed to complete a degree, since I was entering this field without prior experience, I wasn\u2019t sure if I could keep up.\u201d <\/em><\/div>\n \n
Not only did he worry about the intense academic requirements, but the cost weighed heavily on him too. With only his mother working to support the family, Jhet was deeply aware of the financial strain that a traditional path would place on them. <\/div>\n \n
And beyond time and money, there was another major issue: the way learning was structured. <\/div>\n \n
\u201cIn the tech industry, hands-on learning is just as crucial as theory. I was very concerned that by the time I graduated, I wouldn\u2019t have enough real-world experience to confidently enter the job market.\u201d <\/em><\/div>\n \n

Initially planning to pursue a traditional IT course, Jhet\u2019s perspective shifted entirely once he came across the Software Engineering<\/a> boot camp offered by eduCLaaS. <\/div>\n \n
\u201cWhat drew me in was the hands-on learning approach and the idea of graduating with profit. It felt like a practical solution\u2014earning experience and easing financial worries at the same time.\u201d <\/em><\/div>\n \n

\u201cI remember struggling with getting my code to work properly. It was frustrating, but I kept debugging, trying to figure it out. When it finally worked\u2014it was an amazing feeling.\u201d <\/em><\/div>\n \n

But it wasn\u2019t only the technical knowledge that made a difference. Working closely with mentors, classmates, and industry professionals taught Jhet the value of collaboration, persistence, and continuous learning. <\/div>\n \n
\u201cBeyond the technical skills, teamwork was just as important. It helped me improve my problem-solving and debugging abilities, and it\u2019s crucial for back-end and full-stack development.\u201d <\/em><\/div>\n \n
His exposure to real-world projects, APIs, and server-side logic shaped his desire to specialize in back-end and eventually full-stack development.<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
