MAKASSAR, INDONESIA, March 2, 2026 — CLaaS2SaaS joined LLDIKTI 9 in a strategic online session titled “LLDIKTI9 x CLaaS2SaaS: Potential Collaboration in ALP” on March 2, 2026, to explore how AI-powered adaptive learning can accelerate higher education transformation. The 1-hour 49-minute session brought together more than 110 participants around the theme “Agentic CLaaS® for University with an AI-powered ‘Batch of One’” and focused on how universities can use AI-first, data-driven, and flexible learning models to deliver more personalized, relevant, and future-ready education while strengthening university-industry alignment.
LLDIKTI 9 supported the session as part of its broader mission to promote innovation, partnerships, and digital transformation across the higher education institutions under its purview. Serving around 250 institutions across South Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, and Southeast Sulawesi, LLDIKTI 9 regularly convenes webinars, seminars, workshops, and podcasts to connect universities with national and international partners. This session gave universities in the region practical exposure to new models that can improve quality, relevance, and competitiveness, while aligning with broader priorities around the digital transformation of education systems in ASEAN. As Dr. Andik Lukman, Head of LLDIKTI Region IX, said,
“Higher education institutions must not only produce graduates, but graduates who are relevant, adaptive, and globally competitive in a rapidly changing technological world.”

Strengthening the Case for More Responsive Higher Education

Through the session, CLaaS2SaaS presented a clear alternative to conventional higher education delivery. Rather than organizing learning around a standard cohort model, CLaaS2SaaS introduced an adaptive approach that treats each learner as a unique learning group. Under this AI-powered “Batch of One” model, institutions can shape more personalized pathways based on each student’s pace, strengths, and needs. This approach supports more responsive curricula, better learning efficiency, and a stronger focus on outcomes that matter to both students and employers. Emphasizing the urgency of this shift, Mr. Metta of CLaaS2SaaS (formerly known as eduCLaaS) said,

“The traditional one-size-fits-all model of education is no longer effective; every student learns differently, and learning must be personalized.”

A key theme in the discussion was the need for stronger university-industry synergy. CLaaS2SaaS emphasized that higher education must prepare graduates not only to complete academic requirements, but also to build competencies that match real workplace expectations.

Mr. Metta of CLaaS2SaaS Singapore noted, “Many jobs students are studying for today may no longer exist when they graduate, so education must adapt to the future of work.”

This shift is reflected in the Future of Jobs Report 2025.

He added, “Artificial intelligence will eliminate some jobs, but it will also create entirely new opportunities for talent.”

By combining adaptive learning, competency-based development, and closer alignment with industry outcomes, CLaaS2SaaS outlined a model that can help students gain more relevant skills and individualized support, while helping universities strengthen institutional quality, differentiation, and collaboration. The model also offers industry a stronger pipeline of graduates with work-integrated and real-world capabilities.

LLDIKTI 9’s Role in Supporting Regional Innovation

For LLDIKTI 9, the engagement reflected a practical effort to connect universities across its region with emerging models in higher education. Its support for the session underscored the institution’s role as a regional enabler of transformation, particularly as universities navigate changing student expectations, workforce demands, and digital adoption.By creating space for this dialogue with CLaaS2SaaS, LLDIKTI 9 helped surface approaches that can support institutional modernization and stronger graduate outcomes.Dr. Andik Lukman, Head of LLDIKTI Region IX, underscored the importance of that direction, saying,

“This collaboration can become an important momentum for transforming our higher education system and accelerating the competitiveness of our universities.”

The discussion also addressed both challenges and opportunities in adopting AI-powered models in higher education. Participants highlighted the need to integrate AI into traditional curricula, prepare faculty for digital pedagogy, and balance personalized learning delivery with accreditation and quality assurance requirements. In this context, Dr. Andik Lukman, Head of LLDIKTI Region IX, stressed that

“Artificial intelligence will not replace lecturers. Instead, it will strengthen their role as mentors, guides, and facilitators in developing student talent.”

At the same time, the conversation pointed to major opportunities: positioning Indonesian universities as leaders in ASEAN education innovation, building sustainable university-industry partnerships, and expanding CLaaS® into broader regional and global networks. Institutions exploring this shift may also look to artificial intelligence in education for broader policy guidance and international context.

Spotlight on Innovation: Adaptive CLaaS®, Agentic CLaaS®, and AI-Powered “Batch of One”

A central focus of the session was CLaaS2SaaS’s innovation framework, particularly Adaptive CLaaS®, Agentic CLaaS®, and the AI-powered “Batch of One” model. Together, these approaches reflect CLaaS2SaaS’s view of how universities can move beyond one-size-fits-all teaching and build more intelligent, learner-centered systems.

Adaptive CLaaS® supports more responsive learning pathways by adapting to each learner’s pace, strengths, and development needs. Agentic CLaaS® extends this approach by using AI more actively to support decision-making, personalization, and scalable learning delivery.

The “Batch of One” concept sits at the center of both models by treating every learner as a unique cohort and enabling institutions to personalize progression, support, and outcomes at scale. Dr. Andik Lukman, Head of LLDIKTI Region IX, described the significance of this model clearly:

“The ‘Batch of One’ approach offers a new paradigm in education, where every student is treated as a unique individual with a personalized learning pathway supported by artificial intelligence.”

Mr. Metta of CLaaS2SaaS also framed the model in operational terms.

“Our goal is to help universities transform into adaptive institutions that can respond quickly to the demands of industry,” he said. He added, “AI allows us to map skills, identify gaps, and design personalized learning interventions so that graduates become truly work-ready.”

Mr. Metta of CLaaS2SaaS also pointed to the broader transformation underway in learning itself, saying,

“The future of education is shifting from learning everything first to ‘just-in-time learning’ where people learn while they work.”

The engagement between CLaaS2SaaS and LLDIKTI 9 marked more than an event recap. For CLaaS2SaaS, it reinforced the relevance of AI-powered, adaptive, and competency-based learning models in helping universities modernize delivery and improve learner outcomes. For LLDIKTI 9, it represented a meaningful step in exposing the institutions it supports to new approaches that can strengthen quality, employability, and regional competitiveness. Together, the session signaled a shared interest in helping universities across Sulawesi and surrounding regions respond more effectively to ASEAN’s digital transformation and the evolving needs of the workforce.
