Laguna, Philippines – February 12, 2026 — Education leaders from across Laguna Province gathered with urgency and shared purpose as private schools convened for a regional forum at San Antonio de Padua College Foundation, Inc. The event centered on the evolving landscape of education, signaling a growing commitment among private school leaders to prepare students for a rapidly changing world.
More than 200 participants from 70 private schools across Laguna Province convened alongside institutional decision-makers, academic leaders, and government representatives from the Offices of the Governor and Vice Governor. Organized with program support from key partners, the forum carried the theme “Leading with Heart,” a call to action for private school leaders to champion skills-first, workforce-aligned education that prepares learners for an AI-enabled economy.
The forum underscored a shared commitment among Laguna’s private education leaders to advance the sector through sustained dialogue and public–private collaboration. CLaaS2SaaS joined leaders engaged in serious discussion about strengthening institutional capabilities and adapting education systems to meet the demands of an AI-driven economy. Rather than treating AI as an add-on, participants emphasized competency-driven, adaptive models that more directly connect learning with employability.

Public-Private Collaboration for a Structural Shift in Education

The program opened with a message from the Vice Governor of Laguna, who expressed the provincial government’s strong support for education innovation. He positioned the government not as a ceremonial presence, but as an active working partner committed to supporting schools and institutions as they adapt to changing workforce and learning demands.
The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Jaco from the Laguna Public Affairs Office, who outlined how the provincial government is providing concrete support to private schools through policy initiatives, funding programs, and institutional resources. His message reassured school leaders that their needs are recognized at the government level, emphasizing that government should function as an operational partner rather than a distant stakeholder.
Providing a cross-regional perspective, Dr. Rene from the Taguig City Scholarship Office shared best practices from Taguig City, focusing on scholarship expansion, digital learning infrastructure, and curriculum reform. His presentation positioned Taguig’s approach as a practical model that other regions can study, demonstrating how sustained public-private commitment can drive measurable progress in education.

Bridging Secondary and Post-Secondary Pathways, Strengthening AI Literacy and Higher Education Transformation in Laguna

To translate these discussions into practical reflection, participants were invited to complete a Digital Readiness Survey during the session. The exercise encouraged school leaders to assess their current stage of AI and digital integration, providing a snapshot of where Laguna’s private schools currently stand. The responses reflected growing awareness of AI’s impact on education, while also highlighting opportunities for institutions to further strengthen structured digital implementation.
The findings reinforced the importance of collective action, encouraging schools, industry partners, and local stakeholders to work together in shaping learning pathways that reflect real workforce needs. This urgency was captured in a question raised during the session: “Are we preparing students for yesterday’s jobs, or tomorrow’s industries?” The line resonated strongly with the room, highlighting the urgency for institutions to rethink how learning pathways are designed.
Building on this conversation, CLaaS2SaaS delivered the forum’s only dedicated AI education session, presented by the Higher Education Lead for the Philippines. Framed within the theme Building Stronger Private Schools through Public-Private Partnerships, the session explored how adaptive learning and AI integration can enrich curriculum delivery and connect students to future academic and workforce pathways — aligned with DepEd standards.

Strengthening the Learner Continuum Across Education Levels

CLaaS2SaaS also hosted an interactive booth during the forum, which attracted representatives from approximately 30 participating schools. School leaders from the basic education sector visited the booth to engage in conversations around digital readiness and the growing role of AI in education.
As part of the engagement, participating schools were invited to complete a digital readiness assessment, providing an opportunity for leaders to reflect on their institutions’ current stage of digital and AI integration. Discussions focused on how adaptive learning platforms can practically support schools at different points in their digital journey, from early exploration to more structured implementation.
The booth also served as a space for informal exchange beyond the formal program, allowing school leaders to explore practical approaches to AI-enabled learning and digital readiness within their own institutions. The strong participation reflected genuine interest in understanding how technology-enabled approaches could support schools as they prepare students for an increasingly digital future.

A Collective Commitment to Future-Ready Education

As the forum concluded, participants shared a clear sense of urgency: the time to act on education transformation is now. Artificial intelligence is no longer a future conversation but a present reality, and private school leaders left with a stronger sense of direction and collective purpose to prepare students for an AI-shaped workforce.
For CLaaS2SaaS, the forum reinforced its mission to support AI-ready, skills-first education, positioning the organization not as a vendor but as a committed partner working alongside schools. The dialogue also reflects Governor Sol Aragones’ vision for an educated and future-ready Laguna Province, where public–private collaboration drives sustainable education progress. Looking ahead, CLaaS2SaaS remains committed to supporting regional partners in strengthening digital readiness for the next generation of Filipino learners.
